Professional Experience
Khalid Alashban is a leader and development professional with extensive experience in managing projects, programs, and operational planning within the non-profit and consulting sectors. Khalid is currently serves as a Project and Programs Development Manager at Kaizen Consulting, where he oversees national-level initiatives and operational excellence projects. Previously, he held several key leadership roles, including Founder and Director of the Programs and Initiatives Department and Member of the Grants Committee at the Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Charity Foundation, as well as Founder and Director of Development Grants and Founding Member of the Social Investment Track at the Mohammed Ibrahim Alsubeaei Charity Foundation. Additionally, he served as Director of Programs and Projects and Grants Committee Member at the Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charity Foundation. His professional journey reflects a strong record of strategic leadership, institutional development, and impactful philanthropy.
Practical Experience
Khalid has led and contributed to major national projects focused on organizational excellence, capacity building, and social impact. Khalid is directed the institutional excellence project for the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), aligning it with national and international excellence standards such as KAQA, EFQM, and ISO. He also managed the establishment of a large-scale national entity dedicated to social impact investment—the Social Impact Investment and Civil Society Support Fund. As a certified Birkman Consultant and strategic leadership expert, he has designed operating models, measurement methodologies, and technology-enabled systems to enhance institutional performance. His experience encompasses strategic and operational planning, performance management, innovation assessment, and the establishment of organizational frameworks that drive sustainable impact.
Educational Background and Training
Khalid holds a Professional Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the American Institute of Human Resources (HRCI) and a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy, Riyadh University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute (PMI®), a Certified Coach from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and a Certified Practitioner from the British Institute of Strategic Leadership and Quality Management. Additionally, Khalid is an Accredited Innovation Assessor (AINA) by the Global Innovation Institute (GINI), a certified Development Project Management Professional (PMD Pro), and a Certified MEALDPro Practitioner from London, UK.
