Full Kaizen Transformation in Farm Markets

Implementing Continuous Improvement, Visual Management, and Designing and Measuring Performance Indicators

Full Kaizen Transformation

We implemented a Full Kaizen/Lean Transformation project in Farm Markets.

The project phases include the following:

  • Studying the current situation and setting the future vision in ninety (90) Farm Market branches, to spread the concept of continuous improvement, visual management, and designing and measuring performance indicators.
  • Analyzing branches based on profits and growth rates.
  • Creating and improving standards (CPFR - Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) for warehouses, and Mizusumashi (replenishment).
  • Creating and improving Standard Work for salespeople and how to sell on the floor.
  • Kaizen applications to reduce waste in warehouses (determining reorder point, safety stock, location coding system, barcode, arranging item list by location).
  • Evaluating the 5S system in the central factory in Jeddah Industrial City, and conducting ABC analysis for existing items.
  • Analyzing transportation and logistics movement (Fix Backhaul) and reducing costs.
  • Training and knowledge transfer on Japanese Kaizen methodology, value stream mapping, waste reduction methods, and problem-solving using statistical analytical tools.
