Establishing and Operating a Data Office

We are currently working with the General Authority for Competition on a project to provide consulting services for establishing and operating a data office. The scope of work in the project includes the following:

  • Establishing and operating a data management and governance office in the Authority, based on the controls, specifications, and standards of the National Data Management Office (NDMO), and the Data Management Framework from the Data Management Association (DAMA).
  • Preparing the operational model, tasks, and responsibilities for the data office and its staff, and defining the governance frameworks for data management.
  • Developing integrated data management and governance methodologies, and a maturity measurement framework for data management and governance, utilizing best global practices and experiences, to activate the role of the data office in the Authority, and regulate its relationship with the National Data Management Office and relevant entities.
  • Developing a data management strategy that includes strategic and operational initiatives, a roadmap for data management and governance maturity, and data-specific goals and performance indicators linked to the Authority's general objectives and indicators.
  • Developing a comprehensive roadmap that enables the Authority to implement the data management strategy and achieve its desired goals to attain full compliance with national requirements in the field of data management and personal data protection within three years.
