A good land and a forgiving Lord
The National Day is a dear and precious memory in the heart of every citizen and resident in our proud country; because this day reminds us of the harvest day for the good seed planted by His Majesty King Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him and reward him well for the Muslims. On National Day, we remember how we were and how we have become by the grace and favor of God.
This country used to suffer the most severe torment and taste the woes of division, fragmentation, and destitution, until God blessed it with this great conqueror, His Majesty King Abdulaziz, may God rest his soul. He established its pillars, laid its foundation, raised its edifice, protected its borders, reformed what was within it, and set the right approach for its people. By God’s grace, it enjoyed security and safety, and has lived and continues to live in the shelter of goodness and security: one nation, a good land, a glorious and great history, a safe, reassuring, and prosperous present, and a bright and promising future.
The people of this country have not forgotten what they were in of destitution and weak living conditions, where one could hardly find their daily sustenance. God blessed them with abundant goodness, prosperity, and comfortable living. Moreover, the state, may God support it, took care of all its citizens; it provided for the incapable and those with special needs what suffices them, facilitated jobs and means of decent living for the capable, and supported businessmen in their trade and work.
The people of this country remember what their ancestors went through in terms of deteriorating health conditions, epidemics, and deadly diseases that wiped out entire large households. God bestowed upon them the garment of health and wellness, and the state sought to develop health services, send medical students on scholarships, build hospitals and health centers, provide free treatment, and make medicines available in all regions, cities, governorates, and villages.
In the memory of many people of this country is the prevalence of illiteracy, lack of knowledge and scholars, and scarcity of schools, until God ordained this blessed state which made education the foundation of its concern. It exerted great efforts in spreading education and opening schools, institutes, and universities throughout the country, and even set up rewards and prizes, which hastened the realization of our state’s hopes. People saw the impact of this in their souls, behavior, and livelihood.
Thus, the people in this good country have come to enjoy abundance, prosperity, knowledge, health, and all the pleasures of a dignified life. We thank God who has completed His blessing upon us and ask Him to increase us from His bounty.
On our 93rd National Day, we recall with great pride and honor the approach of our wise leadership represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect them and support them with His victory. We recall what this wise leadership is doing in terms of prudent policies, future visions, strategic plans, civilizational investments, and pioneering global roles in promoting international peace, reviving the global economy, and achieving prosperity for peoples.
In this prosperous era, we thank God for the blessing of security and safety, while the world around us is reeling with turmoil and negative transformations.
In this prosperous era, we thank God for the unity of ranks, adherence to the legitimate allegiance, listening and obedience to the rulers, and the flourishing of values of loyalty, belonging, and citizenship, while the world around us is experiencing crises of disintegration and conflict.
In this prosperous era, we thank God for the blessing of prosperity and comfortable living, the rise of economic indicators, the progress in completing giant projects, the diversification of financial revenues, while the world around us suffers from recession and stumbles.
In this prosperous era, we thank God for the revival of labor markets and the decrease in the unemployment rate to the lowest levels, while the world around us suffers from unemployment and scarcity of jobs.
The whole world has witnessed the great achievements and reforms carried out by the leadership of this blessed country. There is not enough space here to review them all, but I will point out some of them, including: eliminating corruption and fighting its people, uprooting it from its roots, and raising integrity and transparency indicators to their highest rates.
The advancement of the educational process and the development of its outputs, as evidenced by the rise in the global ranking of universities, the large number of our male and female students winning international awards, the growth in the number of patents, the increase in the achievements of innovation centers, and the abundance of expertise and research houses.
As for the international economic level, one cannot miss the high status our dear country has attained among the world’s top economies, and the fastest growing and prospering ones. Today, it is a member of the G20, the biggest influencer in energy and economic markets, and the master of decision in them.
On the political level, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today plays prominent roles at the regional, continental, and global levels, in continuous diligent efforts to enhance global security, diplomatic mediations, combat crime and poverty, and develop poor countries, until our beloved capital (Riyadh) has become the destination for countries seeking prosperity and stability.
What we see today and enjoy, we and the coming generations – God willing -, of abundant goodness, security, safety, and growth, obliges us to ask God Almighty to perpetuate our country’s security, stability, and prosperity, under the leadership of our Imam, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. We ask God to protect our country from all evil and harm, for He is Generous, All-Hearing, Near, and Responsive.
