Ahl Methodology for Orphan Care
After an extensive study of Islamic texts that organize and encourage orphan care, and after reviewing some local and global experiences in this field, Kaizen Company developed a special methodology for managing virtual social homes for orphans, known globally as (SOS). It relies on integrating two main processes in orphan care: sponsorship and counseling.
- Orphan sponsorship refers to basic care, preserving their life, and providing material life requirements, including housing, food, clothing, health, education, and transportation.
- Counseling, interaction, and benevolence mean caring for and attending to all aspects of the orphan's personality, including psychological, emotional, social, cognitive, spiritual, and physical aspects.
We believe that the proper methodology that produces a satisfied, happy orphan and a good citizen is one that combines sponsorship and counseling; not as separate care approaches, but integrating them from the orphan's first moments. The child drinks milk mixed with tranquility, contentment, and love, plays and enjoys childhood in a guided manner that instills manners and values, learns sciences and additional knowledge supported by values that build a sound personality. They spend their early years and the beginning of youth in a safe, reassuring home with caring, compassionate caregivers, supervisors, teachers, companions, and neighbors who are role models and ideal examples. From these, they learn directly and indirectly about religion, ethics, values, and social relationships. All those who care for orphans are supported by work programs and various activities appropriate to their ages and categories to produce young men and women who are satisfied, happy, and good citizens.
