Tourism Skills Development

We implemented this project for the Ministry of Tourism to qualify Saudi human resources with internationally accredited certification and develop the tourism sector in the Kingdom, through preparing, managing, and implementing training programs to develop the capabilities of workers and those wishing to work in it. The project includes six main phases:
  • Building, designing, and developing training packages.
  • Providing an implementation plan for skills development programs for workers and those wishing to work in the tourism sector.
  • Implementing training programs to develop skills of workers and those wishing to work in the tourism sector.
  • Marketing and introducing training programs to attract specific groups, and verifying the empowerment of individuals most in need.
  • Evaluation and follow-up during training programs.
  • Reports, documentation, and performance measurement.

The project aimed to develop the skills of sixty-five thousand (65,000) trainees, and fifty-seven (57) training programs were provided to entrepreneurs, workers or those wishing to work in the tourism accommodation sector, tourism organizers and guides, travel and tourism agencies, museums, and media professionals and journalists interested in tourism.
Among the most important achievements of the project are the following:
  • Preparing twenty-one (21) specialized training curricula and presentations.
  • Providing forty-three (43) remote training programs.
  • Providing thirteen (13) in-person programs.
  • Achieving a participation rate exceeding more than twenty-five percent (25%) of the target number.
