Abdulaziz Alawi has experience in the public sector, particularly in governance, organizational development, and project management. Throughout his career, he has served as an Organizational Consultant for various ministries and government entities, and has also been a Corporate Development Projects Manager in the non-profit sector. Additionally, he has worked as an Administrative Researcher at the Ministry of Economy and Planning.
Practical Experience
With over 17 years of experience, Abdulaziz is highly skilled in project management, process improvement, and institutional excellence. He has successfully led the establishment of Project Management Offices (PMOs) across multiple government entities, creating frameworks, methodologies, and tools for monitoring and control. He has also contributed to the development of operational models for national initiatives, involving the restructuring of organizational units, defining procedures, and integrating technological solutions. His work in updating operational policies and aligning strategic goals with initiatives has significantly enhanced organizational efficiency. Abdulaziz has also been involved in performance management projects, linking performance indicators to methodologies such as the European Excellence Award (EFQM®) and the Balanced Scorecard.
Educational Background and Training
Abdulaziz holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, both from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Project Management Institute (PMI®), and has earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB®) in Quality Management. In addition, he has completed the Government Leadership Development Program at the Institute of Public Administration and holds a diploma in Organizational Structure Design and Process Improvement.
