Professional Experience
Karim Badri is an IT and BI Specialist at Kaizen Consulting, with prior experience as a Data Engineer at AI-Elements (Jordan) and a Data Scientist at The Hope International (Jordan). His career has been built around data strategy, analytics, and governance, with a focus on enabling organizations to leverage data for smarter decision-making. Currently, he is engaged in the establishment and operation of the Data Management Office at the General Authority for Competition, where he contributes to strategy development, policy and procedure implementation, and support for advanced data-use cases.
Practical Expertise
Karim brings advanced technical expertise in data engineering, big data analytics, and business intelligence. His experience includes designing and managing ETL/ELT frameworks for large-scale data warehouses and data marts, building unified data lakes with Microsoft Azure Synapse, SSIS, and Apache NiFi, and applying modeling techniques such as Star, Snowflake, and Galaxy schemas. He is skilled in data workflow analysis, BI solution deployment (MicroStrategy, Power BI), and data storytelling for strategic reporting. He also has hands-on experience with big data tools (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark), governance frameworks (DAMA, NDMO), and has trained teams in programming languages (SQL, Python, Scala, Java). Additionally, he has developed and maintained AI-driven systems for automation and optimization, applying deep learning and reinforcement learning techniques.
