Omar Baaqeel

Professional Experience

As Director of Training Programs and Operations at Kaizen Consulting, Omar Baaqeel oversees large, multi-entity capacity-building initiatives. He managed national programs to elevate performance across the tourism sector through workforce upskilling and preparation for globally recognized certifications, and programs to train and qualify industrial establishments to implement quality management systems under the supervision of SASO. He also contributed to establishing and operating the Institutional Excellence System at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, supporting the ministry’s attainment of the King Abdulaziz Quality Award, EFQM® international excellence recognition, and ISO certifications.

Practical Expertise

Omar has led major training portfolios serving tens of thousands of participants and specializes in the design and rollout of quality management systems and their applications. His experience spans end-to-end program design, operational execution, and partner coordination; development of sectoral diplomas in collaboration with leading universities; and the planning and delivery of high-profile conferences and events. He is adept at translating excellence models into practical operating routines, building assessment frameworks, and aligning training outcomes with organizational performance targets.

Education & Training

Omar holds a Master’s degree in Total Quality Management from Sikkim Manipal University (India), and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Applied Science University in Amman, Jordan. He has completed EFQM® foundational training and numerous courses in management, business development, and continuous improvement.
