Throughout her career, Somia has aligned data initiatives with national strategies while ensuring compliance, quality, and sustainable results.

Somia has designed and deployed data governance frameworks, delivered training, and led change management for diverse teams. As a Data Strategy and Enablement leader, she promoted a culture of data literacy, supported startups in embedding analytics, and enabled data-driven investment strategies and product development. Previously, at the Defense Industries System, she managed large-scale IT and defense projects, standardized project management processes, and advanced technology innovation policies. She has also worked as a software developer and a university lecturer, underscoring her versatility and ability to contribute both technically and academically.
