His prior leadership roles include serving as General Manager at Giad Tractors and Agricultural Equipment Co., Director of Technology and Innovation and Senior Risk Management Inspector at Giad Engineering Industries Group, Technical Manager at Giad Engineering Works Co., Design Department Manager at the Giad Research and Vehicle Development Center, and Plant Manager at Giad Trucks Co. His career reflects progressive responsibility in quality management, operations leadership, technology development, and institutional excellence across large industrial groups and national organizations.

Practical Expertise

Tariq possesses extensive hands-on expertise in quality management, operational excellence, risk management, strategic planning, and governance frameworks. He has contributed to major national and organizational projects, including establishing the performance system for the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information and supporting strategic and operational planning for the Prince Muteb bin Abd Al Aziz Foundation. His achievements include building integrated quality systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001, securing multiple EFQM and KAQA awards, assisting in the development and execution of four strategic plans for Giad Engineering Industries Group, and developing operational risk registers for over 30 companies within Giad Group. He has also played a significant role in preparing EFQM submission documents, implementing Kaizen methodologies, applying OEE and 5S to improve efficiency, and supervising more than fifteen industry-localization and product-development projects. His expertise spans strategic formulation, change management, and driving excellence across manufacturing and service environments.

Tariq holds a Master of Business Administration from Africa International University and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours from Red Sea University. His professional certifications include Master Project Manager MPM® from the American Academy for Project Management, Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001, and NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety. He has also completed specialized training such as the Strategic-Planning Expert Preparatory Course from Kaizen, reinforcing his capabilities in strategic design, quality systems, and operational excellence.
