Professional Experience

Dr. Khalid Aljarallah is a consultant and expert in leadership, institutional excellence, and academic accreditation at Kaizen Consulting. He has led national programs across government, higher education, and regulatory sectors. He founded and headed quality management in the food sector at the Saudi Food & Drug Authority, and served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Center for Plant Pest and Animal Disease Prevention and Control. He also held senior roles at the Ministry of Education—including Director General for Private University Education and Senior Advisor/Supervisor in the Minister’s Office. In academia, he served as Dean of Quality & Skills Development at Majmaah University, Dean of the College of Applied Sciences at AlMaarefa University, and Associate Dean for Medical Education Quality at King Fahd Medical City, in addition to serving on high-level councils and boards in both public and private universities.

Practical Expertise

Dr. Aljarallah currently leads two national projects: (1) An economic and social impact analysis of R&D and innovation for the Research, Development & Innovation Authority—developing predictive methodologies, forecasting models, impact evaluation guides, and capacity-building programs. (2) A national program at the Education & Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) to develop measurement, assessment, and accreditation standards in general education and TVET—designing and implementing predictive models to strengthen quality and evidence-based decision making. His portfolio also includes a Ministry of Culture program to mentor Saudi translators (EN/FR→AR), leadership of university accreditation initiatives, and end-to-end establishment of institutional quality systems. He is skilled in policy design, standards and accreditation frameworks, impact evaluation, and organization-level capability building.

Education & Training

Dr. Aljarallah holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Surrey (UK), an M.Sc. in Quality & Food Safety from the University of Reading (UK), and a B.Sc. in Microbiology from King Saud University. This scientific foundation, combined with regulatory and academic leadership, equips him to bridge rigorous methodology with practical execution—driving measurable quality improvement and sustainable institutional outcomes.
