The project includes assessing the digital services market in Saudi Arabia and the GCC, analysing existing regulatory frameworks, studying the European Digital Services Act (DSA), identifying regulatory authorities, conducting benchmarking, analysing gaps, assessing potential impact, and developing legislative recommendations and an implementation roadmap.
A. The Challenge
The challenge lay in the absence of an integrated regulatory framework that ensures the safety of the digital market and the protection of users, while also requiring alignment of local legislation with global best practices and balancing innovation with effective regulation.
B. Our Solution
We conducted a comprehensive analysis of the market and regulatory frameworks at the local, regional, and international levels, studied the European Digital Services Act, identified optimal regulatory models, analysed gaps, assessed impact, and developed legislative recommendations supported by an implementation roadmap.
C. Key Achievements
Developed a comprehensive understanding of the digital market; identified regulatory gaps; delivered practical legislative recommendations; designed a regulatory model based on best practices; prepared an implementation roadmap; and supported the creation of a safe and sustainable digital environment.
