Arrowad Group and Kaizen Consulting launched the Value-Based Leadership in a World of Multiple Crises program at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva on Monday, 11 Shawwal 1444 AH (1 May 2023).

The program was launched as part of a strategic partnership between Arrowad Group and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), within global efforts to promote and institutionalize values, and as an extension of international cooperation to develop consulting and training programs for public, private, and non-profit organizations in the field of value-based leadership.

The program was officially announced by Mr. Nikhil Seth, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director of UNITAR, who highlighted its importance and positive impact in advancing and embedding global values across sectors and organizations.

Dr. Saad bin Ibrahim Al-Khalaf, Vice Chairman and Co-Founder of Arrowad Group, emphasized that the initiative reflects the Group’s firm belief in the importance of international partnerships and collaboration between global centers of expertise and international organizations to build and strengthen global value systems. He also acknowledged the strong support extended to the private sector by the Kingdom’s leadership—Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud—affirming that Saudi leadership exemplifies value-based leadership in both word and practice.

Dr. Al-Khalaf further noted that the inspiration and confidence instilled by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince in Saudi citizens enabled Arrowad Group to achieve this distinguished partnership with UNITAR. Following the launch, a high-level panel discussion titled “Value-Based Leadership in a World of Multiple Crises” was held at the UN headquarters in Geneva, with participation from senior officials and global experts.

Speakers included H.E. Eng. Mansour Al-Mushaiti, Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia; Dr. Ghazi bin Zaqr, Member of the Saudi Shura Council; and Dr. Saad bin Ibrahim Al-Khalaf. International speakers included Ms. Maria Edera Spadoni, Vice President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies; Dr. Christian Herrever, President of the Global Values Studies Association (Austria); Dr. Neil Hawkes, Founder of Values-Based Education (UK); and Ms. Stella Koleva, Vice President of SAP for Europe, in addition to experts and consultants from UNITAR.

The launch was attended by representatives of sister states to the United Nations, senior officials, and distinguished guests in Geneva. Notably, Arrowad Group is the first Arab company to collaborate with the United Nations in the field of building and empowering values within public, private, and non-profit organizations.
